Power Outage Yesterday

Yesterday morning, around 6 am, there was a power outage in my area. I was without power most of yesterday, so I didn’t get to make a post. Today is Saturday, and generally speaking, I spend my weekends with my family, so, I usually don’t blog on the weekends.

That being said, I logged onto Facebook today, and I received the “On This Day” notification for three years ago today. Three years ago today, I posted a video composed to go along with a commentary made by Paul Harvey called “What is a Policeman?”, dedicated to the memory of Okaloosa County (FL) Sheriff’s Deputies Tony Forgione, Burt Lopez, and Skip York.

I remember growing up and hearing Paul Harvey give commentaries on my local radio station, and I enjoyed them very much. He was a bright, articulate man, and “What is a Policeman?” was one of my favorites from him. Please allow me to share it with you, and may God Bless the slain Deputies, their families, and all active law enforcement officers. It’s a tough job.
